Scott was born in Houston, Texas where he grew up and later obtained his Degree in Finance at Sam Houston State University. He and his wife, Pamela, moved to Myrtle Beach in 1992 and have been involved in starting many charitable and educational endeavors. Together with his wife, Dr. Pamela Pyle, Scott has made significant contributions to their local community by establishing and supporting numerous life-giving organizations. They have also played a pivotal role internationally, partnering with Africa New Life Ministries since 2009 and contributing to the construction of the Dream Medical Center, a prominent private hospital in Rwanda. Scott is a proud father of 5 and "Papa" to 8 grandchildren.
Scott has over thirty years of experience in the financial industry including executive positions with Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Wachovia Securities. He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) and Wealth Management Specialist (WMS). He serves individuals and families through comprehensive financial planning at Pyle Financial Services, Inc. throughout his distinguished career, Scott has consistently excelled in his industry, earning multiple awards. However, the accolade he treasures most is the James Dunks Advocate Award, recognizing his dedication to serving others, which aligns with his personal purpose. In addition, Scott serves as the Senior Advisor to Dr. John Maxwell Foundation infusing biblical leadership principals into culture around the world.

In 2021, Indiana Wesleyan University invited Scott to deliver the commencement address. As the commencement speaker, Scott encouraged graduates to leverage their influence to make a positive impact on the world. During this ceremony, the university conferred upon him an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree, recognizing his steadfast faith as a follower of Jesus Christ and his dedication to serving others.
